Legal security for land rights
A piece of land, a lawful right over it, and a document proving that right are important to every family. The Kerala Land Reforms Act, 1963 and the Land Tribunals constituted under it play a vital role in examining and securing the rights of eligible persons according to law.
Long possession or cultivation alone does not automatically establish eligibility for a purchase certificate. The nature and classification of the land, tenancy rights, documents, possession and the legal relationship between the landlord and tenant must be examined in each case.
